Submersibles

nuisance water removal

Solutions to remove clean, dirty or flood water.

What's available?
At Pump World, we offer a wide range of submersibles for waste water drainage, clear water drainage, well boosting, dewatering, and rain water harvesting. We also supply a variety of recommended accessories for submersible installations including hose clips, hose tail adaptors, and PVC suction and delivery hoses.

What is a submersible pump?
A submersible pump, sometimes known as a ‘sump pump’ is a pump that can be fully submerged in water. It then pushes this water to the surface, thus it is used for the removal or transfer of water from cellars, ponds, swimming pools, wells, rain water tanks, and lift shafts.

How long can a submersible pump run for?
A submersible pump will continue to run if left in the “on” position. This will cause the pump to run even when all the water has been removed, which, unless the pump has dry run protection, will cause it to burn out and stop working. The Acuapres 4 and 6 are fitted with dry run protection with four trials if there is no water. The High Head Auto 5 and 7 are also complete with dry run protection.

Which submersible pump is best for my application?
There are many different types of submersible pump. Some have internal float switches while others have external float switches. Some can easily handle solids while others are better for liquids only. If you need help finding the right submersible pump for your application whether that is removing flood water from a cellar, boosting water from a well, or emptying a rain water tank, speak to one of our pump specialists.
