Description

Lever Ball Valve : isolation valve.

Application : The ideal isolation valve for use in steel pipe systems.

Suitable for isolating individual outlets, or providing isolation for Y strainers or control valves, should maintenance be required. In larger systems the can provide isolation of heating, the primary side of hot water services (HWS) and cold water services and many industrial applications, including air and non-corrosive liquids.

The brass bodied, nickel plated ball valves are lever operated through 90° with bi-directional flow. Hard chrome plated ball for increased wear resistance. Compact design with PTFE body seats for reliable isolation. The valves are designed for high flow rates with minimum pressure drops. Supplied with parallel threaded ends complying with BS EN ISO 228-1.

Valves are supplied with a blue lever sleeve for visual indication of a cold service. Please ensure the correct sleeve is fitted for the correct service. The valves are very simple to install, with just two joints to make.

Please note the available model options and ensure the correct model is chosen prior to purchase.

What is a cold water accumulator?

The accumulator boosts the flow rate available to hot and cold water taps by storing water in a membrane diaphragm. The accumulator then delivers this water to the cylinder and cold outlets when demand exceeds the mains flow rate available.

Can an accumulator increase water pressure?

Accumulators will not increase water pressure higher than your incoming mains pressure. They simply allow the water system to work at its optimum pressure capacity by supplementing the flow of water when the system has open outlets (i.e. the tap is running). When the outlets are closed, the accumulator shuts off this additional flow until it is required again. The addition of an accumulator pump will provide boosted pressure to a maximum flow of 12 lpm.
