Description

Thermostatic Blending Valve : non-failsafe valve for general use.

Application : Designed to maintain the preset temperature of the mixed water delivered to the user despite variations in the temperature of the water contained in the system.

This range is suitable for electric cylinders or cylinders heated by oil or gas. Ideal for use on underfloor heating to maintain the circulating water through the underfloor coil at the preset temperature, by mixing hot water from the boiler with the return water from the coil. Must not be used in combination with boilers with instantaneous hot water production for sanitary purposes. Adding them would impair the operation of the boiler.

Supplied with parallel threaded ends complying with BS EN ISO 228-1.

Operating Principle : the regulating element within the thermostatic mixing valve consists of a temperature sensor in contact with the mixed water outlet. By expanding and contracting the sensor continuously ensures correct proportioning of the incoming hot and cold water by modulating with the obturator on the incoming cold water.

Check valves should be installed in systems with thermostatic mixing valves to prevent undesired backflows. The thermostatic mixing valve must be commissioned in accordance with current regulations and by a qualified engineer using suitable temperature measuring equipment. We recommend the use of a digital thermometer for measuring the temperature of the mixed water.

The control knob is used to adjust the temperature from 40˚C to 60˚C.
