Water softeners collect hard water salts that form limescale within the water, eradicating staining, calcium build up and abrasion to the skin. There are three main types of water softener for domestic use - timed, metered and high flow. Choice is dictated mainly by lifestyle and the number of household occupants, but sometimes additional factors such as pressurised water systems and megaflow boilers should be considered.

Metered Softeners : suitable for those with variable water requirements as the metered valve will cater automatically for changes in water usage. The computerised valve calculates whether adequate softening capacity is available for the next day and regenerates only as necessary. This can reduce water usage and salt to the minimum consumption whilst ensuring that when usage is increased there is always plenty of softened water available.

High Flow Pro 80 lpm is suitable for households of 7+ people. Built-in auto-flushing filter to 20 micron. 20 minute regeneration, 4m³ of softer water per day. Reduces salt usage, using tablet salt.
