Whole house water filters connect to the rising main where water enters the premises and provides filtered water around the house. There are two main types available, Standard and Heavy Metal Reduction.

Standard reduction filters use Granular Activated Carbon media. They are effective at reducing chemicals (including herbicides and pesticides) and chlorine to improve water taste and odour. They are not designed for and not generally effective at removing metals or sediment.

The Heavy Metal Reduction filters are designed to reduce a wide range of contaminants from water, in particular a vast range of heavy metals as well as chemicals and chlorine to improve taste and odour. They are also effective against fluoride and in many cases nitrates too. The filters use a combination of medias to provide a superior quality of drinking water without stripping the minerals (e.g calcium) from the water..

The system comprises a blue vessel filled with media, with inlet and outlet port on top. It also includes a post filter and micron cartridge. The ‘suitable for’ specification refers to the quantity of people in the house. However, this is dependent on the water system in place in the property and if it is a direct / indirect feed. The filters do become exhausted after a time and will need replacement.

For use with municipally treated/potable water only. When used with private supply a point of use filter should be fitted at the main drinking point. Installation by a qualified plumber is recommended. Please send us your water testing analysis before purchase.
